Ahoy PO!  I had a dream. Ok it was an idea (which i stole ( www.retributionguild.net)), that skullcrusher should do some scheduled outdoor 5v5 pvp night(s)! As i know some of PO are pvpers, i thought i'd come over and ask you if any of you were interested  . Anyways, my proposal is that maybe we could schedule a night where a load of horde and alliance go out in groups of 5 in a specific area. This could be a single zone or more, depending on how many people wanted to take part. Then the groups would just roam around the zone(s) until they find another group to fight. Gonna paste what i wrote from my guild forums as im very lazy  I will contact certain guilds on the horde and alliance side about the event. Im not certain about the guilds yet. If some people of that guild then want to join (including fusion), you must post your team of who is going to be in it. Put the leader at the top as the team name, the guild(or mixed if it contains people of different guilds) then the whole team below. Put each class next to their name. For example: Team Alistair<Chav> - Alistair (paladin) - Johnmiller (warlock) - Greyfox (paladin) - Plokoon (warrior) - Reven (warrior) Not the best team, but they will break your windows if you beat them. A max of 2 per each class is allowed. Rules (more to be added later) Allowed - Consumables - All engineering gadgets(grenades/trinkets) are allowed except for the Mind-Control Cap and the Goblin Rocket helm. - First aid - Healthstones if you have a warlock in the group - Soulstones, Combat rez, Shaman self rez are allowed as long as you have the class that can do it in your group Disallowed - NO intefering with other groups. If Two groups are fighting each other, move on until you find another group - NO hitting groups that are unmounted when roaming around. Only groups that are mounted are viable to be attacked. (this will be explained later) - NO Flasks or Zanza buffs The thing about the unmounted = unattackable. The teams will go round mounted until they find another group. They then obviously dismount to fight them. As said in the other rule, if you see 2 groups fighting, just keep searching for another group. If you come accross 1 group unmounted, do NOT engage them until ALL of them have mounted. This is so they have time to rebuff/rest after their previous fight. Once they have ALL mounted, you can attack them. It'l hopefully be in the next week, two or three. Im not sure on the date yet as i'l have to find out which day is best for the guilds taking part. On the day it will happen, i will tell the people taking part about an hour or so before the time where the zone will be to hopefully prevent griefing. Good initiative, not sure I'll be able to leave my spot in the bank unguarded to join in though  Looks a lot like trying to fix DAoC PvP in WoW  Pretty sure we could get a team or two together though, got plenty of peeps up for that kind of action I think.

Sounds like a good idea. But a grp with 2 pala would probaly be impossibel to beat. Heal heal stun heal heal shield heal heal stun heal shield heal heal stun heal heal  Anyway im up for the challenge if we can get a decen po grp ore 2 going

I wasnt sure if to make it 1 max of each class or 2. There might be groups that just go warrior, warrior, healer, healer, healer or dps which kinda makes it unfun if everyone is going round with that  . Some certain person persuaded me though (not mentioning any names!  ) that some people wouldnt join if this wasnt possible, so i decided to make it 2. Its not too late to change it though  . Hey again  I know Icez said that Wednesday and Saturday are your days off, but is there any chance you could make a Friday night? I talked to all other guilds taking part and the nights they could make were Friday and Saturday. We could make it Saturday, but im trying to avoid it as its a night people want to go out  Im hoping for next Friday (9th June). Is this possible?

that is for the officers to decide   Also, i was thinking about making a limit on the amount of x2 classes you can have in each group to 1. I know that was confusing, so i came up with this awesome example: Warrior,Warrior, Priest, Priest, Shaman = Not allowed. Warrior, Warrior, Priest, Shaman, Rogue = Allowed. Its an attempt to stop the warrior/warrior/paladin/paladin zerg groups and add more variety to it. I know the paladins can be swapped with shamans, but the paladin team will be alot stronger than the shaman one  . I was thinking about making 1 max per each class, but i know some people want to group up with friends that are the same class  . Its all for fun in the end. I dont think it will be fun if you meet the same setup groups each time you meet a new group. Anyways, any thoughts?  .

Also i strongly suggest to limit the use of the same class to one and not two of each group. This way we will have more diversity in grp settings. I fear that if two are alowwed we will soon end with some limited uber combinations (e.g. 2 warrior/2 pally/1 priest).
Wednesday and saterday evening would be best.

Blizzard actually had 5 manner pvp dungeons in Dev but as Ideefix pointed out, the warr/pally combo pwnd all the squishys  I strongly suggest one per class or it will get pretty boring.

that classlimit aint exactly good for horde at all youre FORCED to play 2 priests which means you cant take any other duo playing with one priest will end up with a grp without dispel ...
limiting to 1 gives exactly the same shit

Im just gonna leave it as it is. 2 max per class. None of the alliance groups are going 2 paladin/2 warrior and as Saga pointed out, horde need to have the "option" for having 2 priests. Its the first time SC has done something like this and i cant make it perfect  , im just trying to create some fun.

could also leave the option for horde to get 2 x2 classes even in current state it still gimps the horde as we are forced to bring 2 priests which means we need 4x other class
